Unusual Activity Report
This daily report focuses on three key components that can lead to market momentum: unusual options activity, insider buying, and institutional sponsorship. By scanning for these signals each day, we uncover potential stock movements driven by notable trades, insider transactions, and institutional investments. Using advanced algorithms and proprietary research methods, we sift through vast amounts of data to identify unique opportunities, offering timely insights highlighting emerging market momentum.

Standout Options Trades
This section highlights notable options trades reflecting significant sentiment—bullish, bearish, or mixed—characterized by high-dollar-value transactions or large trade sizes exceeding prior open interest. When open interest rises from the previous day, it often indicates the creation of new positions rather than the closing of existing ones, suggesting a fresh outlook on the underlying stock or ETF.
For instance, call buying generally signals an expectation of upward movement, while selling calls suggest the trader anticipates the price will stay below a certain level. Put selling reflects confidence that the price will hold above the strike, implying stability. In contrast, put buying may reveal a bearish outlook or serve as a hedge against a larger bullish position elsewhere.
This report highlights large, unusual options trades identified for their size and potential impact, representing individual sentiment rather than broad market consensus. These trades are informational and are not intended as buy or sell signals. They reflect noteworthy activity observed during the trading day and should be viewed as one part of a broader analysis.
Options Flow Analysis: Trading Day 2025-6-18
The following analysis focuses on the Stock Options Flow Leaderboard for the trading day 2025-6-18. Each section highlights significant institutional activity, providing sentiment, key observations, and market expectations based on the data. All numbers represent large block trades likely executed by institutional players, not total-market figures.
Note: This report highlights institutional block option flow based on net premium. Strike prices and expiration dates are not available with block data.
Broadcom Inc. (AVGO)
Sentiment: Bullish
Options Activity: Institutional flow in Broadcom was decisively bullish with over $1.17 billion in call premium bought, versus $1.06 billion in call premium sold. Minimal put activity was observed, with a mere $1,198 in puts bought and $216,194 in puts sold, indicating confidence in price stability or upside.
Total Values: $104,281,850 net premium
Expectations: The strong inflow of call buying and minimal put hedging suggests institutional positioning for upside in AVGO. The relatively small put selling premium may reflect limited bearish concern, with traders expecting Broadcom to maintain or build on current levels.
NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA)
Sentiment: Bullish
Options Activity: A bullish skew in NVIDIA with $59.98 million in call premium bought against $29.49 million in call premium sold. Put premiums were almost evenly split but tilted toward selling: $19.15 million bought, $29.50 million sold.
Total Values: $40,838,027 net premium
Expectations: Institutions are favoring upside exposure while collecting premium through put selling, signaling expectations for NVDA to remain strong or move higher.
Moderna, Inc. (MRNA)
Sentiment: Bearish
Options Activity: Almost no call activity reported, while significant put selling totaled $28.03 million compared to only $232,732 in calls sold and $46,800 in puts bought.
Total Values: $27,756,278 net premium
Expectations: Heavy put selling reflects a bullish posture by institutions, expecting MRNA to hold its ground despite lackluster call activity. The absence of major call buying suggests limited upside enthusiasm, but the dominant put selling implies downside risk is being discounted.
PepsiCo, Inc. (PEP)
Sentiment: Bullish
Options Activity: Light call activity, but strong put selling of $24.76 million dwarfed the $4.78 million in put buying.
Total Values: $19,803,168 net premium
Expectations: Institutions are expressing confidence in PEP’s stability or upside by collecting premium through put selling. The trade structure favors a price floor being established.
ONEOK, Inc. (OKE)
Sentiment: Bullish
Options Activity: No call activity. All action centered on puts, with $19.25 million sold against only $729,000 bought, showing a clear bullish signal through aggressive put selling.
Total Values: $18,521,000 net premium
Expectations: Institutions are confidently collecting premium by selling puts, reflecting an outlook that OKE will remain above key support levels.
Atlassian Corporation (TEAM)
Sentiment: Bullish
Options Activity: Similar to OKE, no call activity. The significant put selling of $18.17 million versus only $847,500 in put buying reflects a strong bullish lean.
Total Values: $17,319,500 net premium
Expectations: Institutions are willing to collect premium with the belief that TEAM will not decline materially, expressing confidence in the current price base.
Target Corporation (TGT)
Sentiment: Bullish
Options Activity: Very modest call action, but the highlight was $40.98 million in puts sold, far exceeding $25.37 million in puts bought.
Total Values: $15,613,229 net premium
Expectations: Institutions appear comfortable collecting premium at current or lower levels, showing confidence that TGT will hold up or recover from any near-term pressure.
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (TMO)

Expectations: Despite elevated volatility, institutional traders are positioning for stability or recovery, as reflected in aggressive put selling.
UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (UNH)
Sentiment: Bullish
Options Activity: Balanced call premiums, but the focus was on large put selling of $660.14 million, outweighing the already substantial $646.42 million in puts bought.
Total Values: $12,648,446 net premium
Expectations: Heavy put flow suggests hedging and opportunistic premium collection, with overall positioning tilted bullish due to the net positive premium and size of trades.
Merck & Co., Inc. (MRK)
Sentiment: Bullish
Options Activity: Virtually no call activity, while $43.69 million in puts were sold, significantly surpassing $31.74 million bought.
Total Values: $11,734,278 net premium
Expectations: Institutions are signaling confidence in MRK’s price support, using put selling as a way to express a bullish view while collecting income.
Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (SWKS)
Sentiment: Bullish
Options Activity: No call trades. Purely put-based with $15.09 million sold versus $4.32 million bought.
Total Values: $10,764,750 net premium
Expectations: A high-confidence bullish setup through put selling, suggesting institutions expect SWKS to hold above key technical levels.
MicroStrategy Incorporated (MSTR)
Sentiment: Bullish
Options Activity: Strong call premium of $18.79 million bought versus $8.09 million sold, paired with near-even put flows.
Total Values: $10,647,851 net premium
Expectations: Bullish outlook driven by upside speculation and neutral-to-positive put sentiment. Traders appear to be playing for upside continuation.
Berkshire Hathaway Inc. – Class B (BRKB)
Sentiment: Bullish
Options Activity: Light call trading. The key action was $14.95 million in puts sold, dwarfing $4.73 million in puts bought.
Total Values: $10,215,700 net premium
Expectations: Institutions are showing faith in price support via put selling, positioning for continued stability in BRKB.

Total Values: $9,898,728 net premium
Expectations: Institutions are betting on continued upside, reflected by aggressive call buying and supporting put selling.
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD)
Sentiment: Mixed
Options Activity: Modest call buying of $4.17 million, outweighed by $6.17 million sold. Puts were also more heavily sold, but high volumes on both sides dilute the directional message.
Total Values: $8,406,705 net premium
Expectations: Mixed sentiment with a slight bullish lean due to put selling, but the large volume suggests hedging around an uncertain near-term trend.
Marvell Technology, Inc. (MRVL)
Sentiment: Bullish
Options Activity: Bullish tilt with $7.99 million in puts sold versus $5.42 million bought, paired with more call buying than selling.
Total Values: $6,752,411 net premium
Expectations: Institutions appear to expect price stability or gradual upside, using a mix of strategies with net premium signaling a positive view.
Kenvue Inc. (KVUE)
Sentiment: Bullish
Options Activity: Active call buying of $2.35 million, supported by minimal put buying and no put selling reported.
Total Values: $448,776 net premium
Expectations: A quieter name but the positive call bias suggests a minor bullish posture by institutions.
Symbotic Inc. (SYM)
Sentiment: Bullish
Options Activity: Light action overall, but skewed toward bullish flows with calls bought significantly exceeding calls sold, and modest put selling.
Total Values: $191,969 net premium
Expectations: Modest bullish sentiment in a low-liquidity environment, possibly indicating quiet accumulation.
Important Note: The numbers above only represent aggregate figures of large block trades made by institutions. They are not total-market figures and should not be interpreted as such.

Institutional Spotlight: New Filings Highlight Targeted Accumulation Across Healthcare and Consumer Sectors
Institutional activity over the past week revealed a strategic wave of fresh buying across several mid-cap and small-cap names, led by some of Wall Street’s most recognizable hedge fund managers.
HILL PATH CAPITAL LP, under the leadership of Scott Ross, disclosed a commanding position in SeaWorld Entertainment (SEAS) with 27,264,596 shares, translating to an impressive 49.60% ownership stake. This level of control signals deep conviction in the company’s long-term value and strategic trajectory. The move places Hill Path in a dominant shareholder position, likely granting significant influence over corporate governance and future capital allocation decisions.
In the biotech space, INTEGRATED CORE STRATEGIES (US) LLC, led by Israel Englander, filed for a 5.20% stake in Astria Therapeutics (ATXS), with 2,937,803 shares. This newly reported position suggests confidence in the company’s development pipeline or anticipated catalysts. Similarly, TWO SEAS CAPITAL LP, headed by Sina Toussi, initiated a meaningful position in Indivior (INDV) with 12,072,398 shares, equating to 9.70% ownership. The scale of the investment hints at expectations for stabilization or upside within the specialty pharmaceutical space.
REDWOOD CAPITAL MANAGEMENT, under Jonathan Kolatch, disclosed a 5.10% stake in EchoStar (SATS), acquiring 7,944,841 shares, indicating interest in the satellite communications sector amid ongoing restructuring efforts. Meanwhile, Boaz Weinstein’s SABA CAPITAL MANAGEMENT entered Mexico Fund (MXF) with 774,024 shares, marking 5.29% ownership, a move likely tied to macro positioning or arbitrage strategies in emerging market closed-end funds.
A particularly notable purchase came from GLENVIEW CAPITAL, managed by Larry Robbins, which took an 8.70% stake in Butterfly Network (BFLY), acquiring 19,634,914 shares. The investment underscores rising institutional interest in next-generation imaging and diagnostic technologies. Also in fintech, RIMA SENVEST MANAGEMENT, run by Richard Mashaal, initiated a position in LendingClub (LC) with 5,748,093 shares (5.00% ownership), signaling growing confidence in alternative lending platforms.
POINT72 ASSET MANAGEMENT LP, led by Steve Cohen, made two aggressive filings: 7,831,425 shares in ADC Therapeutics (ADCT) for a 7.00% stake, and 4,000,000 shares in Xilio Therapeutics (XLO) for 7.20% ownership. These filings suggest a high-conviction bet on the oncology space from one of the industry’s most active players.
Lastly, John Paulson’s PAULSON & CO INC returned to the spotlight with a renewed stake in Bausch Health Companies (BHC). The firm disclosed ownership of 32,791,702 shares, representing 8.90% of the company, further reinforcing Paulson’s longstanding involvement and potential thesis on valuation recovery.
